These were taken in the early hours of Sunday morning… before the incessant rain set in.

And a short video clip… the final few seconds are at half speed.

Camera note: all shots taken with the Canon 7D and EF 100mm f/2.8L macro IS USM lens.

  1. Nice shots … a pity about the rain, but, after all, it is England.

  2. Peanuts… :sherlock: They have good taste 😀

  3. dW, even in England the rain is now getting to be beyond a joke. It is really one of the worst summers I can remember (and we've had plenty of bad ones).

  4. Sami, they do seem to like peanuts. :chef:

  5. I recall several photos of flooded farmlands and villages from a couple of years back, I think.
Florida is currently being visited by Jupiter Pluvius, and many areas of the West are alight.

  6. dW, they finally lifted the drought order in our part of the country today. I guess the water company couldn't maintain the pretence of a drought with so many flood warnings in place at the same time!

  7. :eyes: That was quite a leap, even at half-speed.

  8. Mick, good wasn't it!

  9. Just catching up. The cubs must have legs made of rubber!

The weather up here really hasn't been too bad. Or perhaps I got so accustomed to being alternatively burnt and frozen in Saskatchewan that I'm finding the rain / mild sun mix here quite pleasant :right:

  10. Adele, that is one of the best jumps I've seen!

I had got to the stage when I was thinking that a light drizzle was actually quite good… but now at least we are seeing something approximating summer. Long may it last!
