A New Face A New Fox

It all started in much the usual way, with Shy Boy emerging from the far end of the garden and then wandering down to his usual spot on the wall outside our back door.

He hung around for a while, before skulking off (no treats tonight). I thought he'd had a change of mind when a similar sized fox appeared from the side of the garden. It wasn't him though. If my identification is correct she's the little vixen from earlier in the year. She was certainly not disturbed by the camera and happily explored while we watched.

As is visible in some of those shots, she seems to have a patch of shortened fur across her back, very similar to the patterning that appeared on the Bold Vixen a couple of years ago. Soon after the newcomer had departed down the side of the house, Shy Boy re-appeared. He looked around tracking where she'd been, and then headed off in the same direction. Could this be love? 😀

I can hardly wait for the next installment!
She seems very slightly built, even for a fox.

dW, she's a pretty little thing, with a very narrow face and a light coloured coat.
