Time to explore, thought the oystercatcher
And hopped from her perch
She strolled through the shallows (well, she is a wader)
And she strolled and she strolled
She went past the big rock…
all the way to the white stone hills
She then made her way along Concrete Road…
until something caught her eye. She paused for a moment.
And went on her way.
From the Oystercatcher album.

great set of photos
Great sequence of shots!
Great shots of the Oyster Catcher. Glad you took us on a walk with her!
Your photos are wonderful!
Funny bird, like to walk as well as she like to fly 😀
Thanks Vulpes!
Darko, I think she is looking for food :chef:
Wow very good. 😀
Thanks Robin!
Lois thanks. I don't usually manage to get in range of them, so it was a bit of surprise to be able to follow it for quite so long.
Thanks Neil, it was a toss up between these and the fulmars (which have become something of a weekend standard), but these are more colourful.
Thanks Mark, it was great to get in reasonable range for once 🙂
And she doesn't even look tired!
Adele, she really does look like she's out for a Sunday afternoon stroll 😀
What a cute and funny little bird. Thanks for letting us walk with her.
Karen, a pleasure. I'm amazed no-one has created a cartoon oystercatcher. They're perfect for it!
