Most of my photos tend to be taken from our garden, but I do occasionally go further afield, not least because we are located on the edge of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (a technical/legal definition, but certainly true). There are also moves to makes significant stretches of the South Downs a National Park.

Dew Ponds are an ancient way of preserving water. Clay lined, they hold dew in otherwise chalky areas.

There are plenty of rabbits

    I don't think we have dew ponds up here in the North Downs. We just get desiccated in hot summers :ko:
