Everything is back to normal on the South Coast. Sunshine and blue skies, and the last remnants of the melting snow.

Black-headed gulls have already donned their summer garb…

A large white duck admires her own reflection in the still, cool water.

And in the corner of the churchyard, a pigeon soars into an evergreen tree.

  1. Lovely afternoon, Words … the blackheads are great, and who can resist the white duck?
That park bench reminds me of Jake the Peg … (If I've already posted this, just take it out)

  2. Yay Spring is trying but this weather wont relent it seems, back to wet and rany this weekend, i think 2013 has been a awful year weatherwise so far, i cant remmber when we last had a total sunshine weekend.

  3. The snow is surviving in the shovelled heaps here, but mostly it's just wet and muddy. Again.

I like the optimism of the gulls.

  4. Mark, I couldn't agree more. All we ever seem to get is rain. Maybe a couple of ok days, and then it's back to the rain. I really hope this year isn't as bad as last year.

  5. Adele, mud everywhere here too 🙁 One warm day and the gulls were all too eager to think that spring had arrived. I bet they're feeling a little foolish now 🙂

  6. dW, that video takes me back! I can see why the bench made you think of it. 😆
