A Fox in the Garden

It’s a long while since I’ve been able to post a new photo of a fox, but persistence pays off and tonight I was lucky. Only three frames, and all taken from a distance. The fox was reasonably relaxed and did sit and watch for a few minutes before wandering back out of sight.

Oystercatchers and Fulmars at Rottingdean

I had to pop down to Rottingdean today. It was high tide, and very windy.

Down on one of the few more sheltered parts of the beach, a small group of oystercatchers were lazily grazing among the pebbles.

Cormorant at Sunrise

A short sequence of a cormorant at Falmer, just after sunrise this morning. The pond was part-frozen, but one section was clear of ice and the low sun lit the scene perfectly as it rose over the South Downs.

In the other corner, the outlook was altogether more bleak.
