OK, More Cute Rats…

Quiet day today (camera-wise) so here are some more of the Falmer rats in warm sunshine from yesterday, enjoying themselves in the perfect pond-side habitat.

Morning Heron (+ a pair of cute little rats)

The start of a new week, and we are just approaching the time of year when the early morning light comes into play. It’s not yet producing the brilliant golden light, but it’s a good start and certainly helps bring out the depth of colour in these photos of a grey heron I saw at Falmer pond today.

Lunchtime was rat-time as things go, and I have plenty of photos to work through. Just one tonight (I may post some more when I get a moment), but it’s at the high end of cute.

Rook

An often disregarded bird, the rook is really a quite splendid member of the corvid family. I saw this one this morning, flying over the South Downs.
