We were back at Falmer Pond today. It was late afternoon and the sun was out. No rats today, but the more common birds were putting on a good display. The only problem is that I was on the eastern edge of the pond so the only possible shots were more or less directly into the sun. Which is good 😀 It highlights all sorts of detail, especially rapid movement. Here are a couple of splashing gulls, and a moorhen about to launch into a run.
I've no recent fox photos, but I have now put an album of recent rat photos together. Some of the shots have already been included in the blog, but not all of them (plus they're a larger size in the album). So head here for the Falmer Pond Rats.
Camera note: all shots taken with the Canon 7D EF and 400mm f/5.6L USM lens.

very fun and excellent photos!
Beautiful! I love the light shining through the water droplets.

These are very good – the dots of lights from the droplets give them a jewel-like quality….
A lot of splashing 😀
Karen, thanks! With the light in front the drops would disappear.
Darko, splashing times indeed. There's always something good to photograph around water.
Anon, thanks!
Erwin, thanks!
Jill, thanks!
I get the impression that if those gulls used a household bath, more than half the water would end up on the floor!
Adele, LOL! I'm sure you're right. Good to see them enjoying themselves though.
Thats nice
