I would have liked a little more sunshine this morning, but it was mild enough to bring out the butterflies when I stopped by at Seven Sisters Country Park, just outside Eastbourne. There was little in the way of bird life, so I wandered along the edge of the fields where butterflies are an easy sighting. Several species were present, but the most numerous were the marbled whites, one of my favourite subjects (but flighty, and with a preference for settling in long grass).
