It's been an unusually quiet week after the excitement of the weekend kestrels. Yesterday I managed one photo (at 1am on Wednesday morning) and then nothing until this morning at around 8.15 when I came across this small family enjoying a grassy breakfast (and thankfully for them, no fox in sight).

  1. So many bunnies. I hope they will notice fox in time :left: :right:

  2. I worry for the little ones. They're sometimes a bit slow to run.

  3. Oh, Words! They are adorable! Wonderful photography!!

  4. Thanks Cynthia. They were being quite bold and the young bunnies were especially cute.

  5. Very cute! 🙂

  6. Thanks Adele!

  7. I know what you mean about that. Unfortunately (for the photographer) the healthy ones usually run the fastest.

  8. Ah rabbits. Ive taken more photos of rabbits than any other species since working at wat tyler. Still not got the perfect shot of one, since the best photos always turn out to be of diseased rabbits, poor things

  9. Hmm, not my favourite animal but they're nice environmental poses 🙂

They're quite wary in NZ for some reason…

  10. Brendan, I can imagine they're not the most popular and lack the native cred of the large bouncing mammals over the other side of the water down your way 😉
