Yet more rain today, though the signs are looking slightly better for the next few days. So for the time-being it's more macro shots from the garden. The bush cricket from last night was back on the same plant tonight. In fact there were two of them.
And elsewhere in the garden, hidden in the undergrowth, a hunter waits his moment…
Camera note: all shots taken with the Canon 7D and EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L USM IS lens.

Nice to see the cricket photos. They're so green compared to Sask grasshoppers!

25 Jul 2011Adele, the crickets are a garden regular. The green is perfect camouflage but if I hunt around I can usually spot them.

25 Jul 2011Marilyn, thanks! I couldn't quite get the angle I wanted, but at least I got a full view on that third shot.

25 Jul 2011Darko, well I can't be sure but I suspect they pick a plant and stay put when they can.
