Catching Flies

An unusually, but welcome, clear day. Chilly, but there are still insects in the air and the little pied wagtails were making the most of the opportunity to feed.

Those were taken in the middle of the day. It had been misty earlier in the day, but the sun breaking through provided a beautiful view of the pond. This time of year can be very nearly perfect.

Always Back to the Rain

Torrential rain this morning. Really not very good for taking photos and these were all shot from the shelter of the car. And of course it was pretty dark too, but the cormorants didn’t seem to mind.

A Few More Badger Photos

The foxes may be being elusive, but the badgers are doing their level best to compensate. Here’s a few shots taken last night.

Today was relatively quiet, and wet for much of the time. This pretty mallard was possibly the highlight.
