Your pictures of today are so full of life that I am giggling. Thanks for the smiles, Words!
Crow drinking
Thanks Cynithia. The newts were out while it was still light and seemed to be enjoying the late sunshine.
Darko, the crow says
woo- spot the newts!
Great capture with the crow!
😀
There's something quite civilised about the crow there! Very polite. 😉 My garden sparrows refuse to use the bird bath provided and instead drink from a small bucket!
Great photos!! Always interesting to see wildlife eating and drinking! Wonderful shot of the newts!
That crow 😀 For some reason, an image of a western where the guy the black hat has walked into the bar and scattered all the other guests comes to mind! The newts are great too 🙂
Cheers ZT 🙂
Brendan, it was quite odd to see them so active in daylight. I usually have to work quite hard to see them. They're enjoying the warmer weather.
Adele, I know what you mean. It's the clay/sandy background. The crow could joint forces with the outlaw squirrel.
Vulpes, sometimes they can be utterly graceful. Not often, I admit; but just occasionally they are the most elegant of birds.
Thanks Lois. Unusual to get so many in shot at one go. I think there are bits of 6 of them in tehre somewhere. I haven't tried to count, but would reckon on a colony of over a hundred in the pond.
