Different day, same rat (I assume). It was equally cooperative, and largely ignored my presence while it foraged in the undergrowth. I even took the opportunity to get a short video clip which is at the end of this post.

Now a short video…

Back home there’s still been no sign of Pretty 🙁

Camera note: all photos and video taken with the Canon 7D and EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L USM IS lens.

  1. Nice rat pics, Words … I see you were using the lens at its longest (DOF is shallow), so he’s not THAT trusting.
The name of the vid triggered (as these things do) a long-ago memory: a short story by HP Lovecraft called “Rats in the Walls”. Quite a different mood than this sunny series, which is more reminiscent of “The Wind in the Willows”.

    1. dW, I guess I was 12-15 feet away from it, which is about the mutually acceptable distance. I have trust issues as well 😉

I’m not sure what happened to the edit function. It may be the cookie setting. It worked for me when I checked yesterday.

  2. Editing function is non-existent. No news of Pretty … not encouraging. We can only hope she has morning sickness.

    1. No edit facility just now though…. 🙁
