Not a bad day 😉 Sparrowhawk
Buzzard
Kestrel
And even another red kite!Camera note: all shots taken with the Canon 40D and EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L USM IS lens.
Your skys seem busy these days, great shots
Wonderful shots! Four in one day is great.
A lot of hungry raptors around :insane:
A most excellent day, I would say 😉
Robin, the kite really made the day.
Erwin, thanks!
Sprogger, the sudden appearance of clouds of buzzards is quite special. There are a few spots where I just have to wait a few minutes and several appear.
great stuff – especially the sparrowhawk + buzzard!
Adele, a peregrine would have wrapped it up nicely
Neil, I'm almost tripping over buzzards at the moment. Easier to find than kestrels, which is saying something.
Darko, I wonder how they will cope :chef:
Lois, thanks. The buzzards are easily the most spectacular of the local raptors. They tend to fly in pairs, sometimes in larger groups.
A very profitable day for photos. The underside of the buzzard is so beautiful!
