The fox cubs are really beginning to sort out a pecking order, and some of the 'play' fighting looks quite serious. This cub saw off all-comers for a few sultanas. And they make quite a noise about it too.
I'm still not able to distinguish which cub is which, though one or two are getting more familiar. The cub above is one of them. It's not just his fervent attempts at grabbing food, but he's already carrying one or two battle scars around the ears.

Yes, they do make extraordinary noises. Adults sound something like a cat trying to bark!
