Fulmars (re-visited)

I've been visiting Rottingdean Beach most weekends since January, and watching the fulmars along the cliffs. Today's was only a brief visit, but long enough to gain this short sequence. If you look closely you can see a third fulmar peeking out of the back of the cliff hollow in the first of the shots. It must be quite cosy in there.

On a different note, I've seen a couple of comments in earlier posts about problems viewing the trail cam videos. This one is from the night of 17/18 March (I've still not sorted out the more recent footage).

You must be thrilled with the trail cam footage – a hedgehog! :hat: Thanks for switching to Vimeo – that was much easier for my poor confused browser to view 🙂 I wish my trail cam was working. They're so much fun.

Nice shots of the fulmars too 🙂

Thanks Jill, the flowers set of the scene so well don't they. It makes it look so domestic.

Adele, yes I'm delighted with the results I'm getting. Setting the day/time is a faff (you have to do it every time) but I'm getting the hang of it. I'll try to work out some other locations, probably around the pond. I thought I'd give Vimeo a go. Seems to work well and I've got a downer on YouTube since they won't pay proper performance rights fees to British musicians for official content, and have now started blocking access from the UK to UK-based artists music.

yes, however, my domestic abode is rather messy currently (not a good setting for a picture so lovely) haha

The fulmar photos are fantastic! So artistic! I wanted to get a trail cam too, your success is encouraging.

Thanks Lois… I enjoyed that sequence of shots (slightly over exposed though). Trail cams are great fun. And a lot cheaper where you are than they are here.

Jill, I suspect with the fulmars it's rather less picturesque inside 😉

Mark, it's a nice lazy spot. Just a moderate walk along the 'undercliff' and there's almost always something happening worth a photo. It's about 4.5 miles from Brighton, all the way along the sea front, past the Marina and then another mile or so.
