As well as the hybrid goose yesterday, the more conventional greylags were also putting on a nice display. This pair were keeping to themselves at the far end of the pond, and had found a conveniently sunken rock to stand on.

  1. Words, beautiful shots! They sure spend a lot of time keeping all those feathers in good order!

    1. Robin, a lot of preening and grooming going on (and the occasional fight). All part of springtime with wildlife!

  2. Haha, a perfect angle to make a shot!!! Maybe they just got tired and decided to walk on a water instead of swimming 😀

    1. Darko, this pair seem to like that spot. I’ve seen them there several times since I took these.
