Today was hot, but a good day for spending time in the garden, cutting the grass (with shears, I'm lo-tech in that area of life), and photographing what happened my way.
Common blue (?) butterfly… before the grass was cut.

Damselfly, eating a greenfly

A lacewing… on the wing

More surprising was the next visitor. These are more commonly seen near large ponds and lakes.
Broad bodied chaser, pausing for a rest

A sparrow hops down for a drink

And finally tonight, Bold takes a rest from the cubs…

What? You want a fox cub as well 😉
