Hungry creatures

Although I see plenty of squirrels, I rarely come across one that will let me get close. Today was an exception so I've taken the opportunity to update the Squirrel album.

The squirrel wasn't the only hungry creature I stumbled across. This crow was utterly preoccupied with food. I don't think he was actually eating the grass, but was too intent on feeding to worry about the side salad 😉

Finally a blue tit taken early this morning. It was feeding, but I was more impressed with his sense of colour!

Camera note: all shots taken with the EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L USM IS lens

That blue tit is SO well colour co-ordinated! He looks as though he is meditating…haaaaa-ummmm. 😉 All great shots.

Great trio, love the crow in particular! 🙂 The blue tit could be meditating; also looks like it's trying to read something very small 😉

Thanks Adele. Most of the crow shots didn't work out (contrast problems!), but I got a few keepers.

Thanks Lois… when I said 'hungry' I probably meant 'greedy' 😉

Mark, thanks. That crow does have a mean look about it. I always worry slightly when I get in too close that they might take offence. But he was more interested in feeding. The squirrel and blue tit were a bit less of a threat. Especially the blue tit :lo:

Vulpes, I see what you mean. It's a very serious look it's got, that's for sure.
