It’s Fox Time…

The terrible weather of the past few nights has kept the foxes away and me indoors. We've had rain, thunder, lightning, hail and wind. I did manage a shot of a fly at the weekend, but apart from that there's been precious little to aim the camera at. And the leaves have still not turned, so nothing autumnal to photograph either.

But, as the saying ought to go, you can't keep a good fox down for long. And sure enough the faithful dog fox appeared outside the back window this evening. It was a brief visit and there's still a lot of dampness in the air, so the photos were kept to a minimum. I did manage one half decent shot though.

As you can see he's looking good, and as a way of saying welcome back we provided a small treat. Here he is making off with it.

And that was about it. Apart from that fly of course.

Hard to say which one I like better, the fox or the fly! Both are terrific!

Wonderful photos! We have a small stream that runs through our back yard, and we have seen a fox or two, but never have the camera ready.

How do you catch a sly fox? 🙂
