It's been a dark, damp weekend. Fortunately the rain held off this afternoon and despite the grey I needed to get out to the Downs. The light was hardly conducive to good photography, but this young male kestrel was just about the perfect subject.
Camera note: all shots taken with the Canon 40D and EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L USM IS lens.
