Kestrel (and a fox)

Two short sequences, not taken at the same time. First, a kestrel hunting over Sheepcote Valley this afternoon.

And from this evening, Shy Boy putting in an appearance for the foxes. He's putting on his thick winter coat now, and is beginning to lose the gangly look of a juvenile.

The badgers are still around, but are less dominant in the garden and tend to be arriving much later into the night.

He looks like he's trying to menace someone, Words … or is that the beginning of a yawn?
Nice shots of the kestrel … I love to watch them work a field. We don't have many here, and the red-tails work from a greater height, and are hard to see well.

dW, it's more a yawn. I doubt he could really menace anyone! The kestrels are great fun to watch, and generally very tolerant of people.
