I went back to the same two locations that featured in the previous post, and once again the house martins and swallows were abundant. The swifts are fewer in number, but still worth watching as they sweep across the sky.

Those were taken in the morning. At lunchtime it was time to seek out the dragonflies.

Camera note: all shots taken with the EF 400mm f/5.6L USM lens. For the dragonfly shots I added a Kenko Teleplus 1.4x Pro 300 DG teleconverter giving a focal length of 560mm.

  3. Jill, I've enjoyed photographing the martins and swallows. They come down to the edge of the pond early in the morning and are really quite bold.
