This morning the mist was even more dense than yesterday. As you can see…

Or can't see…

Things were a little better at lunchtime. It was still overcast, but the smaller birds were active and a small flock of long tailed tits were flitting among the trees.

Several greylags were out on the pond…

And the blue tits added just a dash of colour to the overwhelming grey vista.

  1. Words, I think that would qualify for more than mist!
    Nice shots!
    These last two are wonderful!

  2. Yes, bordering on fog! :left: :right:

Long-tailed tit  The small birds are certainly getting quite active.

  3. The last picture is great.
Works out as well as my Robbi.
In any case, the branch bends but threatening. :yikes:

  4. Adele, yes the long-tailed tits are always fun to see. The shot here was the only one where I managed a clear view with no intervening twigs or branches. They're as flighty as ever.

  5. Steffi, I liked that last shot too. Thanks!

  6. Robin, you're probably right. Thick enough for fog, but I get so used to it I can barely tell the difference! The blue tits don't seem to mind though!

  7. We seem to have a lot of fog here too lately though not as dense as yours.

Wonderful shots of the birds too! Very sweet, the upside-down one at the end!

  8. Lois, I'm getting tired of the mist and fog. That's just about all I've seen for the past few days!
