Opera Mini on a Palm

Just installed Opera Mini on my Palm Tungsten C and am using it to post this entry.

So far the experience is good. Rendering is sharp and very fast – what else would you expect. I'm glad of the touch screen on the Palm for navigation but the key controls are pretty useful as well.

What I would really like to know is when Opera will do a full release of this. I can't be the only Palm user who has been longing for "Opera on a Palm" to be reality.

Opera mini? Yes please!

Sure do! Been having a great time with it. Just added a page to my site with first impressions which are very positive.

But it is only available in Norway!

It's only "officially" available in Norway. I'm using it in England and it's seems pretty widely used elsewhere. You can't keep a good thing down.

Outside Norway the difficulty is that you need a mobile service provider if you are going via the phone. But on wifi etc, it just flies from wherever you are :). There's a link on the right of my journal which provides lots of useful links to follow if you want to try it.
