A short sequence from Friday morning…
The heron had just landed with its catch when I first spotted it

"Not to sir's taste?"

"Pah Pah Pah"

Fish splashing!

Fish: "Now don't you try that again. I'm warning you!"

  1. Very cool series. Enjoyed your caption. 😀

  2. Great capture! Looks like someone's pond was raided!

  3. Eyes bigger than his beak? 😉

  4. 😆 My, my. There's no satisfying some herons 😉

  5. Mick, I would have thought it could manage it. Maybe it has some sort of chemical defence

  6. Vulpes, yes that doesn't quite look like the rest of the fish that inhabit the village pond. Might have cost a bit as well.

  7. Adele, it was really quite odd. Now I can understand gulls struggling with eels, but I'm surprised the heron couldn't manage that. I've also seen gulls discard gold fish.

  8. Erwin, thanks!

  9. Deb, thanks!

  10. HAhah aha haa 😀

  12. Cynthia

  13. Mike, thanks. It would have done. Maybe it was too much for breakfast.

  14. Great sequence!

  15. Neil thanks!

  16. A very great capture
