Another very wet day here, but once again there was a brief clearing of the clouds at lunchtime… I got out to the village pond at Falmer; and so did this little rat. It thought about climbing the rock… then thought again.

  1. Nice rat shots, Words.
I think your local foxes must have overpopulated in the last year or so, Words, as these things so often go … they ate all the food, then either starved or moved away, and now the little prey animals are rebounding. Pretty soon they’ll overpopulate, too, and Lo! there will be foxes.

    1. dW, I’d love to see some early morning owls by the pond. They do get the occasional fox, but farmland foxes tend to be wisely shy. Our garden is still seeing several (three or four different foxes), but the badgers are also coming in. All on the trail cam. The lack of photos is down to me not devoting any time to getting them used to me. They are there though, but I needed the break. I’ll no doubt start watching again soon (new 7D Mk2 due in November so I’ll want to play!)

  2. Wannabe rock climber 😀

    1. Darko, I’m sure I could train them if I tried hard enough.

      1. lol
