Sloes, bees, harlequins, admirals, foxes and sunsets

Beautiful day today, and perfect for spending time in the garden. The birds were around but hiding in the trees so I turned my attention to some of the other exhibits on show.

Blackthorn sloe (used to flavour gin, I believe)

A bee was hovering around the honeysuckle

I came across this Harlequin Ladybird, an invader species.

A Red Admiral

Red Admirals are incredibly hairy… I'd never noticed!

And then a more familiar face, but a surprise nonetheless

And to end the afternoon, an amazing sunset
