Three photos today of three of the smaller butterflies that are enjoying the warmer weather and the thriving lavender bushes in the garden.
The first is a gatekeeper, a delicate and very pretty small butterfly.
Next up is a brown argus (at least I think it's a brown argus). Once again it's a small butterfly, and not one I see that often.
Finally, a medium sized species, the meadow brown. These are more common, but nice to capture one with its wings spread.
