Spring Lambs

It is a beautiful early spring morning. The local fields are dotted with sheep and their lambs, a perfect image of English springtime.

Other lambs are at play.

Along with the bleats of the hungry lambs, the air is full of bird song. A dunnock pauses along the hedgerow.

And in the ploughed fields the yellowhammers flit about looking for food.

Life is good!

    Sal, thanks. The numbers on the lambs link them to their mother (who has the same number). It helps the farmer keep track of them.
