It is a beautiful early spring morning. The local fields are dotted with sheep and their lambs, a perfect image of English springtime.
Other lambs are at play.
Along with the bleats of the hungry lambs, the air is full of bird song. A dunnock pauses along the hedgerow.
And in the ploughed fields the yellowhammers flit about looking for food.
Life is good!

Words, lovely pictures of the Lambs! My surname is Lamb, so, I'm a bit partial!
They are cute :awww:
The dunnock photo is lovely. 🙂
Explain the numbers on the lambs
Spring has sprung. 🙂
Erwin, thanks!
Robin, in that case I can well understand the attraction!
Darko, thanks! I thought they deserved a proper entry here.
Mick, it certainly has… it may even last a few days!
Sal, thanks. The numbers on the lambs link them to their mother (who has the same number). It helps the farmer keep track of them.
A beautiful portrayal of spring! The lambs are so sweet!
Lois, thanks!
Very nice
