It was one of those days for the bizarre and unexpected…
High above a Brighton street
Floating on air
Flying bike. Have they lost their shoes?
White dove over rooftops
And finally, a teaser with a nature theme… and it's certainly one of the more unusual garden displays…
What's going on here? (More of this to follow)
Camera note: First two shots taken with the EF70-300mm 4.5-5.6 DO IS lens, the 'bike' and the dove with the EF 400mm f/5.6L USM, and the teaser with the Sigma 105mm F2.8 EX DG macro.

Im pretty sure what the last image is, but I wont spoil the surprise! Be pretty impressive if you've photogrpah it.
Great photos
Shoes! I doubt even a fox could get a pair up there 😉 It is very odd; I've seen shoes hanging from wires in Brighton myself, but their meaning has escaped me…
That bubble is beautiful!
😆 That thing with shoes must be spreading. Have you seen this:

I know what might be on the last photo too 😉 I think I saw it once.
Wow! very strange goings on in Brighton hehe 😛 I was at Heathrow yet again today and caught some planes in retro schemes and special liveries so it was a great day., i left at 7am and came back at 9:30pm in the evening lol 😀
The shoes on the wire appear to be a popular joke.
Mark, Brighton does tend to the strange at times. You certainly picked the best day for plane spotting. Today has been grey and damp 🙁
Neil, I got more or less the whole sequence (just uploaded).
Darko, thanks for that link. Very bizarre indeed!
Adele, the shoe thing is very odd. Bubble-blowing seems to be a common street performance in Brighton. Strange town!
Dudley, indeed. It seems to be international! :faint:

The shoes on the wire thing is apparently drug related – where there are hanging shoes there are drugs for sale…
Alice, that's a reasonable theory but Brighton is very postmodern so it could mean anything at all!
