It was one of those days for the bizarre and unexpected…
High above a Brighton street
Floating on air
Flying bike. Have they lost their shoes?
White dove over rooftops
And finally, a teaser with a nature theme… and it's certainly one of the more unusual garden displays…
What's going on here? (More of this to follow)
Camera note: First two shots taken with the EF70-300mm 4.5-5.6 DO IS lens, the 'bike' and the dove with the EF 400mm f/5.6L USM, and the teaser with the Sigma 105mm F2.8 EX DG macro.

26 Jul 2009Shoes! I doubt even a fox could get a pair up there 😉 It is very odd; I've seen shoes hanging from wires in Brighton myself, but their meaning has escaped me…
That bubble is beautiful!

26 Jul 2009Mark, Brighton does tend to the strange at times. You certainly picked the best day for plane spotting. Today has been grey and damp 🙁

26 Jul 2009Adele, the shoe thing is very odd. Bubble-blowing seems to be a common street performance in Brighton. Strange town!

The shoes on the wire thing is apparently drug related – where there are hanging shoes there are drugs for sale…

29 Jul 2009Alice, that's a reasonable theory but Brighton is very postmodern so it could mean anything at all!
