The early signs of spring have slipped away into cool mists, with the sun failing to put in any sort of appearance at all today. But it was dry, and over at Seven Sisters the swans were making up for the poor weather. Of particular interest is the two-bodied swan, one I've not seen before 😉

(OK, it's two swans side by side… but it made me look. You can just about see both heads here.)

Not to be outdone by the synchronized pair, a juvenile tried to disappear entirely.

Those were fun, but the real shots came at the end of the day.

  1. I reckon they finally figured Lohengrin wasn't going to show up, today …

  2. Great pix, seeing flying swans is a rare sight for me (beside the two bodied ^^). About the poor weather i feel with you.

  3. Lovely shots

  4. Andreas, thanks. I very rarely see them flying so this was a really good opportunity for me to get some photos.

  5. dW, they need to know that patience is a virtue, but then I guess being a swan is virtue enough.

  6. Erwin, thanks!

  7. Always great to see swans in flight.

  8. Adele, they are amazing in the air. It's not something I've seen too many times.
