It's many weeks since I'd last seen her, and a week since I'd seen any of the garden foxes… but in the very early hours of this morning I looked outside and she was there resting in one of her favoured spots at the front of the garden.
The Bold Vixen

She's sporting a fine winter coat, and perhaps is making a claim on the garden for next year.

And yes, she is still as bold as her name suggests, completely at ease. It will be interesting to watch the territorial games over the next couple of months to see who takes primacy: Bold, or Cheeky. My money's on Bold for this year at least; but only time will tell.

  2. She's certainly one of the prettier ones!

  3. Good to see her coming back. It was her territory after all

  4. what she is looking for ?

  5. Rania, she often sits there. She may have been hoping that a 'magic' egg would appear. They do sometimes.

  6. Erwin, thanks!

  7. Darko, absolutely. It's strange that she's more or less abandoned it for most of the summer, but it looks like she's back from her holidays and wants to lay claim again.

  8. Robin, foxes look at their best as they prepare for winter. It's always nice to see them around this time.

  9. She looks like she's recovered from the cubs! 😉

  10. Mick, yes she is in very fine shape at the moment.

  11. Adele, she certainly has recovered, and from that weird patching she picked up last winter. She was back again last night too 🙂

  12. oh well she is looking for the magic egg not for the chicken 😆

  13. The egg came first 😉
