The return of Fox #1

Yes he's back!

Our guess is that the mating is over and he's back reclaiming his territory. Fox #2 was with him, but kept her distance. We're not sure but think she is one of last season's cubs. He posed happily for the (new) camera, as in the picture here, cached food right by us, and was absolutely unphased by the camera.

While the photo shoot was going on, fox #2 watched from the back of the garden. You can just make out the glint of her eyes in this shot.

And here's one I took that's completely out of focus (still getting used to the camera), but shows the pair of them up close. 🙂

    Thanks! It was great to see him again. The last time he showed up was December 8th… so more or less a full month away.
