They call it summer, and if summer means leaden skies, mist and rain then they may well be right. As it is, today was quite literally a wash-out. Not that the snails mind. They thrive in damp conditions.
And the spiders? Well a web does look pretty after the rain.
As for the foxes… when the ground is sodden, they take to the roof tops.
Things may improve a little as the week progresses. I hope it does. I don't mind it being cold. I don't mind a touch of rain. But I would like some bright skies, some decent light, and just something to remind me that this is our summer.
Camera note: all shots taken with the Canon 40D and EF 24-105 F4L IS USM lens.

It seems our shooting is centred on similar subjects. I was out this morning taking shots of spiders and snails too! Sadly no foxes.

18 Aug 2010You should put a dog house on the roof so she would have decent place to sleep 😛
But then, she would stay there all the time :left:

19 Aug 2010Robin, necessity (ie lack of usual subjects) sometimes reveals hidden gems.

20 Aug 2010Foxes really hate getting wet, don't they :awww:
I need a sunny day to test out my new teleconverter! Oh well, I suppose it will brighten up…eventually…

21 Aug 2010Adele, they're not the best 'wet weather' animals, but then again the camera isn't too keen on the rain either.
Good luck with the teleconverter (and finding some sun to test it out).
