Trail Cam Foxes (and a couple of bird photos)

I'm scrabbling around a bit to post anything this week, but here are a couple of shots grabbed today. The first is a heavily backlit shot of a cormorant just taking off from the 'No Fishing' sign. The light wasn't quite as I wanted it, but the silhouette almost works.

Another quick grab, and frankly quite a lucky shot. It's a pied wagtail getting itself all in a twist.

Finally, the trail cam clips from last night. It was quite windy (which you'll notice if you have your sound turned up), but there are some good interactions between the foxes.

Camera note: all shots taken with the Canon 7D and EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L USM IS lens.

Sharing doesn't really come into a fox's head, does it!

Adele, true, it's not a concept with which they're deeply familiar 🙂

ha, that wagtail certainly is a silly poser! also needs a quote caption! and that cormorant, no white on that ones' head….difference in male/female or in variety?

Kathy, wagtails are great subjects for such small birds. They are really quite bold and always moving and posing. The white patches/heads occur in both sexes, but the time they go into breeding condition varies from location to location.
