Having given up on autumn ever reaching the southern part of the UK (warm sunshine and green leafy trees still being the order of the day), I turned the camera to more of the local wildlife. A colleague mentioned a good spot for watching birds and to my delight the blue tits and robins were happily feeding.

Meanwhile this evening I'd again all but given up any hope of seeing the fox, and had even got as far as trawling my archives for a 'photo of the day'. I was going to use this one from a week or so ago.

Just before I posted it, I had another look outside. As luck would have it, the fox was lurking near the steps. He eventually settled on a spot near the pond wall for a quiet snooze. Here's a couple of pictures from tonight.

And I got my Fox of the Day.

Nice pic of the blue tit. Don't entirely give up on Autumn. It's hit us now, so will probably reach you in, perhaps, a few days! 🙂

If he could talk, what would he say to you? I wonder… :p
