Underwater Newt

No sign of the foxes so far tonight. I'm still waiting to give the third dose of mange treatment to the dog fox, and hopefully he'll put in an appearance over the next couple of nights. You never can tell though.

Meanwhile we seem to have a decent colony of newts in the garden pond. Tricky to photograph in the dark, so most shots have been fairly sludgy and the light tends to send them under cover of sunken leaves. I managed one decent shot tonight when for a change the newt swam near the surface. It's been processed quite heavily (I badly under exposed the shot), but the results are the best I've managed.
