Upside Down

Just a couple of shots which illustrate how restricted we humans are in our sense of vertical direction. In space there is no 'upside down', and neither is there for spiders, moths or hover flies (among many others).
An Enoplognatha ovata spider, upside down

An unidentified moth, upside down

Bats do it, but so it seems do hover flies. They sleep upside down

And one more from last night…
Cheeky is upside down 😉

    @Dare – LOL!

    I suppose in all fairness humans do sleep on their backs from time to time. As do cats :cat:

    Adele, well I needed to stretch the idea to include the foxes. It wrecked the argument, but art over science and all that 😉
