Snails! If nothing else enjoys the current summer weather (i.e. incessant rain), these guys do. The garden is awash with them at the moment!

And as a little extra treat, I'm fairly sure that otters don't mind getting wet. These from last Thursday.

Camera note: snail shots taken with the Canon 7D and EF 100mm f/2.8L macro IS USM lens. The otters were photographed with the EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L USM IS lens.

  1. Good for chickens too. They love snails :chef:

  2. San and me saw an otter in Squamish river last December. So, they don`t mind getting wet in cold water, too 😀

  3. Mick, well good that someone is happy :chef:

  4. Darko, I'd love to see wild otters. I wonder if otters stay in the water when it rains to keep dry.

  5. Erwin, thanks!

  6. Well, I've seen European otters in the wild, but my photos don't exactly look as good as these ones

It really has become extraordinarily wet. If autumn starts now, I wonder if it will be snowing by October! :right:

  7. Adele, I've never seen wild otters. The BWC does make it easy though to get decent shots. At least the rain seems to have ceased. Maybe August will be ok.

  8. Nice photos
