It's been a strange week for wildlife watching. I've had precious little time during the day to get out with the camera, so have had to grab the few opportunities that have presented themselves. <\/p>\n

One of my favourite of the smaller birds is the male chaffinch. It's a wonderfully bright bird, and relatively bold. <\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

The female is much less spectacular, but just as comfortable as the male with human company.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Another of the smaller species is the sparrow. These tend to congregate in small flocks, and there's a sheltered garden at work where they are guaranteed to gather and flit among small decorative trees.<\/p>\n

I'll catch up with news of the foxes over the weekend. We've had numerous sightings as the week has progressed.<\/p>\n
