{"id":1116,"date":"2008-04-16T00:04:53","date_gmt":"2008-04-15T23:04:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/archives\/1116"},"modified":"2013-11-21T00:31:01","modified_gmt":"2013-11-21T00:31:01","slug":"hedgehog","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/hedgehog\/","title":{"rendered":"Hedgehog"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Another good day for bird watching, including several <a href=\"http:\/\/my.opera.com\/Words\/albums\/showpic.dml?album=502160&amp;picture=7067319\" target=\"_blank\">sparrowhawks<\/a>, a female <a href=\"http:\/\/my.opera.com\/Words\/albums\/showpic.dml?album=502160&amp;picture=7067318\" target=\"_blank\">blackbird<\/a>, jackdaws, a kestrel and even a glimpse of the woodpecker. But it was while we were out fox watching (with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/04\/1604081504083186.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">minor success<\/a>) that the real star of today showed up.<\/p>\n<p>The hedgehog was back, a true gardener&#39;s friend. We were able to watch it go about its business for about 20 minutes but it was determined to make my life difficult. Most of the time it stayed firmly in the cover of the undergrowth so I just watched. A badger just wandered through the garden. Gone before I could get a photo. But I don&#39;t care. It was a badger!!!
