The area has beautiful walks along winding paths and country roads, edging on to farmland.<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/09\/firle_2809087037.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>And it has horses&#8230; starting with this lively young one.<br \/><img SRC=\"http:\/\/files.myopera.com\/Words\/albums\/479212\/horses_2809086929.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img SRC=\"http:\/\/files.myopera.com\/Words\/albums\/479212\/horses_2809086925.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The mare was very protective. She&#39;d just given another horse a hefty &#39;warning&#39; kick for getting too close.<\/p>\n<p><img SRC=\"http:\/\/files.myopera.com\/Words\/albums\/479212\/horses_2809086938.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And if the young ones were lively, this adult was giving them a run for their money.<\/p>\n<p><img SRC=\"http:\/\/files.myopera.com\/Words\/albums\/479212\/horses_2809087029.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p>More of the horses in the <a href=\"http:\/\/my.opera.com\/Words\/albums\/show.dml?id=479212\" target=\"_blank\">Horses<\/a> album, but there were other animals about, including this handsome ram (the local hostelry is the Ram Inn, by the way so it was good to see the real thing out in the field).<\/p>\n<p><img SRC=\"http:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/blog\/ram_2809087000.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And, inevitably it seems, I saw a jay. I can&#39;t believe I was complaining about how rarely I saw them.
