Blue skies and sunshine. It was cold, but that really doesn&#39;t matter too much when you are greeted by scenes like this:<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/fields_0212082384.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img SRC=\"https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/fields_0212082384.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There were wild pheasants feeding. You need to look closely. The others were even further away.<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/pheasant_0212082378.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img SRC=\"https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/pheasant_0212082378.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I even saw a green woodpecker, though once again you will have to look closely to spot it.<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/gwp_0212082410.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img SRC=\"https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/gwp_0212082410.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><span class=\"aligncenter\">Green woodpecker, camouflaged<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And a rabbit, running for the cover of the woods.<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/rabbit_running_0212082406.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img SRC=\"https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/rabbit_running_0212082406.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><span class=\"aligncenter\">Run rabbit, run<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>But good things don&#39;t last, and by the time I could get outside in the middle of the day, the weather had closed in. It was dull, and wet.
