The first was at around quarter to ten this morning, at work. I was on my way to a meeting when I heard a small commotion and saw a flock of jackdaws take to the air. The cause of the disturbance proved to be a fox, which shot along the side of a building for about 50 yards before vanishing from view. Fantastic to see one moving so swiftly, but for once I had no camera with me. It looked very healthy, but clearly had no intention of hanging around. What it has done though is add a potential watching site to my list of places to visit early in the morning. I'm sure I will eventually photograph a fox there (somewhere), but they are elusive.<\/p>\n
This evening, has also been quiet (if noisy). More calling in the neighbourhood, and two brief sightings but again without photos. The first one was early evening when I looked through the window to see a fox shooting along the garden and out to the front. It was too quick to identify for sure. The second sighting as longer (maybe 3 or 4 seconds) and again through the window. This time the fox was walking across the garden before disappearing to the front. I'm fairly certain it was the bold vixen.
