The day had developed into a brisk, bright spring weather in contrast to the morning when we were again shrouded in mists. The fulmars were still skimming the cliff face.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/fox\/fulmar\/album\/slides\/fulmar_0404093008.html\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/fulmar_0404093008.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" alt=\"fulmar\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And most of the usual holes in the cliff face were inhabited, including the one with the small &#39;front garden&#39;.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/fox\/fulmar\/album\/slides\/fulmar_0404092944.html\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/fulmar_0404092944.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" alt=\"fulmar\" \/><span class=\"aligncenter\">Fulmar<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I stayed there for just under an hour as I wanted to head over the see if I could spot the owl again, over near Brighton Racecourse. No luck as it happened, but I did see my first chiffchaff of the year. Or is it my first willow warbler?
