It's been a couple of weeks since I've been down to Rottingdean to see the fulmars, but I took an hour out this afternoon to see what was going on. The day had developed into a brisk, bright spring weather in contrast to the morning when we were again shrouded in mists. The fulmars were still skimming the cliff face.<\/p>\n

And most of the usual holes in the cliff face were inhabited, including the one with the small 'front garden'.<\/p>\n

I stayed there for just under an hour as I wanted to head over the see if I could spot the owl again, over near Brighton Racecourse. No luck as it happened, but I did see my first chiffchaff of the year. Or is it my first willow warbler? The two species are almost impossible to tell apart!

The skylarks were alternating between hovering at great height and nestling in the long grass.

And finally some more short clips from the trail cam, this time taken from a slightly different angle, just to prove that the foxes are still around even if I cannot get a sniff of a photo of them!<\/p>\n
