As expected the damselflies are beginning to populate the garden. Not yet in any great number, but they are around and causing me the usual headache of trying to identify the blue varieties. So I'll start with an easy one…
<\/span> Large red damselfly<\/span><\/p>\n

This next one I'm less certain about. The dominance of black suggests a female azure, but that could be way off the mark.

<\/span> Another easy one… large red \ud83d\ude09 <\/span><\/p>\n

And this one I think has to be a common blue, but then again…
<\/span> <\/p>\n

This next creature I can identify (I think)). It's a mullein moth caterpillar and is proving one of the easier small creatures to photograph as it stays firmly on its plant of choice.

And finally, another one where I don't know the exact species, but I do know the general type: spider! We have a small nest of babies outside on the ivy.

And talking of small things, a small fox is always fun \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n
