After yesterday's buzzard extravaganza, it's time to show a little more of the variety of local bird life. I'll begin with the harbinger of summer, and yes I have seen more than just one of these.
<\/span> Swallow, taken yesterday<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span> And one of a pair I saw this morning.<\/span><\/p>\n

I also saw some ducks this morning, not near a pond but out over the fields.
<\/span> Taken towards the sun<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span> And a more conventional shot<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span> There was also a blackcap, one of the more easily identified warblers<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span> The young rabbits were out in the sunshine at lunchtime<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span> And so were the young squirrels<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span> A mistle thrush was feeding in the grass<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span> And, yes, there were buzzards as well.<\/span>
