{"id":1694,"date":"2010-08-16T00:08:15","date_gmt":"2010-08-15T23:08:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/archives\/1694"},"modified":"2013-11-10T16:25:12","modified_gmt":"2013-11-10T16:25:12","slug":"ticking-over","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/ticking-over\/","title":{"rendered":"Ticking Over"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Just a quick entry to keep things ticking over, starting with some of the smaller garden creatures&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>This young newt was surveying the pond last night&#8230;<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/newt_1408109670.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>&#8230; while this large garden spider was busy re-building her web following the heavy rain earlier in the day.<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/spider_1408109681.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>The next shot is one the more common sights in any garden, but one I&#39;ve struggled to get any decent photos of. The main problem is that usually they are scurrying around on flat surfaces. Last night though, several were clambering on the flowers. Yes, it&#39;s a wood louse.<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/wood_louse_1408109684.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>While I was watching the wood louse I came across a beetle. <s>I <i>think<\/i> this is a <i>Silpha atrata<\/i>.
